My Treatment offers a new approach to patient education at the Heart Center Dresden, Germany
How can we improve patient education while optimizing workflow in medical facilities? With this in mind, the Heart Center Dresden decided to implement ‘My Treatment’, known as ‘Meine Behandlung’ in Germany.
‘My Treatment’ offers short, understandable videos that prepare patients for their conversations with doctors, among other things. This not only saves time but also enhances the quality of education.
Univ.Prof.Dr.med.habil Jens Faßl, FASE from the Heart Center Dresden reports:
“Patients are thoroughly prepared for the conversation. All questions are answered in these individual short films.”
The results are impressive: With 700 patients, 15 to 20 minutes were saved per pre-medication consultation. This means more time for other aspects of patient care and more efficient processes in everyday clinic life.
Prof. Faßl summarizes:
“The app helps us become faster and more secure and have much better-informed patients.”
